Title Fonts

 Title Fonts

Here are a couple of title fonts that appeal to me. These are the ones available on Adobe Premiere Pro.

Now here are a couple of titles that I admire that and think would give me good inspiration for making my own. I want to create my own as it makes it a bit more interesting and I’m not restrained by the ready-made fonts.

This font has a nice creepy effect as it has parts of the text made to look like it's been weathered and the title has eroded over time. This adds to the creepiness as the title looks older and adds mystery to the film.
This title works well due to its thick marker pen like texture. Titles are almost always creepier when they are written by hand in my opinion. When you see a creepy writing font like this, it not only adds mystery but also gives the audiences chills. Although this can be at risk of becoming too cheesy (If the font is too thin). That's why this font is appealing, it's thick but not too thick.

This is an example of the sort of title I don’t want. I admire the cleverness of using bones as pieces to make letters, but I believe this is far too cartoony. I also wouldn't like to have much colour (if not any). Because it again goes back into the realm of being cheesy. However, Lost Highway (which I analysed earlier on in the blog) does this well as the font isn't complicated. So I have therefore came to the conclusion that it is not smart to have colourful and complicated fonts put together as this ruins the serious, creepy feel.
